Family Connects Colorado

Connecting every family
to a healthy future.

Get support on everything from feeding and sleeping to child care options, and connect with community resources tailored to your needs. All in the comfort of your own home.

The service is simple: A registered nurse visits your home around 3 weeks after birth to check on parent, baby, and the whole family. There is no additional cost to you, and anyone with a newborn can participate, including foster, adoptive, kinship, immigrant, and refugee families.

"If I could have had a Family Connects visit with my daughter, I would have been a much more confident first-time parent."

– Meagan Dunphy-Daly, a Family Connects parent

"I think the main apprehension we had was that we may encounter homophobic people who treat us or our daughters badly because we're same-sex parents. But the Family Connects nurses treated us with respect and ease, and we really appreciated that."

– Sara LeGrand, a Family Connects parent

"Having someone who was able to come to our home was incredibly helpful because it was so overwhelming with newborn twins to even contemplate leaving the house."

– Kate Murray, a Family Connects parent

"The nurses instilled a sense of confidence in us as new parents, and made us feel connected to our community during a time when it's easy to feel isolated or alone."

– Rachel Scheckter, a Family Connects parent
